Head of Product Management, Allison Baby UK Ltd

Allison Baby’s Head of Product Management, Damon Marriott has been working in the baby gear industry for over 35 years having started his career as a service engineer – working within the family business at the nationwide service centre as a teenager. His interest, in baby gear, grew and he moved into a more professional capacity as an independent nursery retailer and official repair/service centre for wheeled goods. Damon then expanded his knowledge into the car seat sector, starting in sales before moving into an advisory capacity with the local authority, police, road safety and trading standards, advising on safe and legal car seat use & installation. Appearing on GMTV and BBC inside out programs focusing on child safety within the car.

Using the knowledge he had gained over the years, Damon changed direction, putting his efforts into improving the products available on the market, making them safer and more user-friendly. He joined Allison Baby in 2014 under the Joie brand, progressing to his current role of Head of Product Management. A lover of pets through many family dogs and cats over the years, his passion for child safety has moved onto pet safety with the creation of the Tavo brand within Allison Baby’s portfolio.

A real car fanatic, so the work with child car seats and now pet car seats has a synergy to his out of work hobbies and interest.
