Sponsored Head Shave at The Jubilee Inn, Grimsby – Raising Awareness for Brain Tumours

On Saturday, 2nd November, Emma Fawn will be hosting a Sponsored Head Shave at The Jubilee Inn, Grimsby. This event will be to raise vital funds for brainstrust, a charity that has provided invaluable support to her since her diagnosis with a rare Colloid Cyst in 2019. This cyst, located in the centre of her brain, poses a significant risk of developing into Hydrocephalus, a potentially fatal condition. Emma and her partner will be bravely shaving their heads to show support for this vital cause, with her partner's long hair making the gesture even more significant. Any contributions to help them make a difference will be greatly appreciated.

Emma has faced daily battles with pain and pressure, but despite the challenges, she is determined to raise awareness about the lack of understanding surrounding brain tumours in the UK. The charity brainstrust has been a lifeline for Emma, helping her cope with the physical and emotional toll of her condition.

"Every day is a battle with severe pain and pressure, and though I take medication, the cyst can't be removed until it grows larger," said Emma. "Despite the challenges I face, brainstrust has been a lifeline, and I’m determined to give back."

Will Jones, CEO of brainstrust, said: "We’re incredibly grateful to Emma for her bravery and determination. Her efforts not only raise crucial funds but also help bring awareness to the realities of living with a brain tumour. The money raised will go directly towards supporting people like Emma and their families."
