Focus SB is shortlisted for an SBID International Design Award 2021

The SBID International Design Awards finalists for 2021 have been revealed, boasting an impressive shortlist of award-worthy entries across Interior Design, Product Design and Fit-Out. Focus SB is pleased to announce that it is among the impressive global design talent to have become a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards for its entry, Latching Push Button Switch in the Lighting category.

Focus SB’s latching push button switch is the only one of its kind on the market that can be used to replace any conventional light switch (toggle or rocker) up to the rating of 6AX.

The functionality options available in Focus SB's push button switch (‘bell push’) style include conventional on/off light switch (latching), retractive (for use with third party home automation controls / inline dimming), or use as a doorbell.

Design consultants are offered the flexibility to mix and match with conventional toggle switches on the same grid and plate (rockers and push buttons can be mixed but custom plates would be required). Focus SB’s push button style switches, grids and cover plates can be ordered pre-assembled or as separate components. This gives design consultants and customers the option of choosing light switches as push button, rocker or toggle irrespective of whether they choose conventional light, inline dimming or lighting control.

Considered one of the most prestigious accolades in the interior design industry, success in the GOLD-standard Awards programme demonstrates the highest level of design excellence across the commercial and residential sectors. From the design scheme, materials used and products specified through to the final fit-out installation, the SBID Awards champion design standards across the supply chain in the design, procurement and execution of outstanding interiors.

Each finalist has been evaluated by industry-leading experts for functionality, technical merit, creative delivery and ability to inspire; highlighting the value that expert interior design and specialist craftsmanship can bring to businesses, homes and society as a whole.
