Introducing Zen Garden – Deco-Pak’s ultimate range to meet demand for tranquillity and wellbeing outdoors

Deco-Pak is unveiling Zen Garden at Glee (NEC Birmingham, 10th – 12th September) – a calming range of decorative gravel, pebbles and cobbles – incorporating a collection of indoor and outdoor water features that will appeal to consumers looking to create a sense of tranquillity at home.

Family-run garden landscaping and decorative aggregates specialist Deco-Pak, renowned for trend-driven innovation, says its new Zen Garden range will meet demand generated by the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which is tipped to ignite interest in minimalism, inner reflection and calm – and drive demand for relaxing outdoor sanctuaries.

Zen Gardens, known for their gravel patterns that create illusions of water, are often associated with Japanese designs. Deco-Pak’s new Zen Gravel, a fine 1-4mm rakeable grey limestone, is the perfect solution for creating a traditional Zen wave effect while acting as a natural weed suppressant, too.

For consumers who are looking to establish the ultimate wow factor outdoors, Deco-Pak is introducing Zen Pebbles and Zen Cobbles – available in stand-out white or black. The naturally tumbled and rounded pebbles and cobbles add drama to water features, rockeries, alpine gardens, beds and borders, creating the ultimate focal point in gardens.

With consumers increasingly searching for simple ways to create an atmosphere of tranquillity outdoors, Deco-Pak’s new range of contemporary Zen-inspired water features offer retailers the potential to generate impulse sales, with their simple, plug-in-and-go approach. Not only does water flow into a self-contained base, creating a piece of instant garden art, but integrated LED lighting casts an aura of relaxation, illuminating gardens by night. To further enhance sales appeal, the modern and sleek line-up of weatherproof poly-resin water features are supplied with a 10-metre cable, allowing easy positioning on patios or in garden settings.

Leading the Zen-inspired line-up are Rippling Sphere Fountains – the ultimate in contemporary water features with granite-effect raked spheres available as 30, 40 and 50cm fountains. Taking Zen to the next level is a series of wow-factor aquatics, including Cascade, where water gently flows down four tiers of illuminated cascade, Columns (three illuminated columns for a focal point display) and Balance, where water gently flows into an illuminated pond.

Two outdoor weathered-copper effect water features will further appeal to consumers looking to create an instant Zen-inspired effect at home. Kanso (Simplicity) is a plug-in-and-go circular columnar feature while Koko (Venerability) offers a square appearance with bold lines.

Deco-Pak’s new Zen Water features will also cater for consumers who are keen to create a sense of tranquillity inside their homes. Contemporary poly-resin, granite-effect, indoor table-top water features include space to hold a small plant and are illuminated by striking LED lighting, cultivating an aura of calm and relaxation. With simplicity at their core, both models feature a two-metre cable for ease of installation, with no tools required for set-up. Meditation is a soothing single waterfall while Tranquillity features two cascading pots. The compact size of both features allows them to sit comfortably on the top of desks or tables.

Deco-Pak, a family-run company now led by the second generation of the family, will be marking 15 years of business success at Glee – and the Zen-inspired range will be at the forefront of celebrations. Zen Garden products will be showcased on Deco-Pak’s unique Retail Theatre concept that will see the stand divided into four distinct themes, focusing on trends that are impacting consumer spend the most: Sustainability, Zen & Wellness, Play, and Enhance.

Utilising new product displays and complimentary products from other suppliers to demonstrate exciting cross-merchandising ideas to drive sales in the coming season, the Zen & Wellness display will offer a leading insight into products that create an instant sense of calm and tranquillity, and enhance wellbeing.
