SCHLOSS Roxburghe, a beautiful 5* historic manor house set in the elegant countryside of the Scottish Borders, has expanded its golf offering to include a new eight-bay Toptracer driving range and a state-of-the-art Golf Academy swing studio with Trackman technology.

The new driving range, which includes Toptracer in each of the eight bays, is the only venue of its kind in the area. The technology allows golfers to improve their game with analysis data provided immediately after each shot; visitors also have the option to play virtual rounds at some of the world’s most famous courses all without having to leave the hotel.

Also new to the property is the Golf Academy, which will allow SCHLOSS Roxburghe’s dedicated PGA Professionals to offer expert tuition with detailed data to improve each aspect of a golfer’s game, and a new greenkeeping compound with upgraded machinery to guarantee conditioning of the course year round.

The new amenities complement the championship Roxburghe golf course, which was designed by internationally renowned course architect Dave Thomas and has been ranked in the top 10 inland courses in Scotland. The 7111 yard, par 72 course features wide fairways following the natural contours of the land, making full use of various elevations, and the signature par 5 hole ‘the Viaduct’, commands a wonderful position from the elevated tee, with the green framed by the famous Roxburgh Viaduct.

“We’re immensely proud of the improvements that we’ve made to the hotel over the past two years,” says Bruno De Schuyter, General Manager of SCHLOSS Roxburghe. “The feedback on the new rooms in our hotel, the cottages, the spa, and our restaurants has been fantastic, and we’re delighted to have now added best-in-class facilities to our wider golf offering. We want all of our members and guests to be able to work on their games during their time at the property, as well as having some fun with the technology on our range, and the investment we’ve made ensures that there’s nowhere better to do this than at SCHLOSS Roxburghe.”
