LONDON, UK – The Yards Covent Garden hosted a very special festive celebration on Thursday 11 December, 5pm–8pm, marking the official opening day of the brand-new Guinness Open Gate Brewery with a free Irish-themed music and dance event.
As the headline finale of the Lantern Light Nights series, the evening featured electrifying Celtic performances from Blag Band, high-energy Irish dance showcases from Pineapple Dance Studios, and a captivating set from acclaimed County Mayo harpist-fiddler Maggie Mae Henegan.
Taking place directly outside the new brewery, the event offered Londoners the chance to witness this landmark neighbourhood moment while enjoying festive lights, traditional Irish tunes such as Whisky in the Jar, and Riverdance-style choreography.
A Guinness-inspired Christmas tree illuminated Mercer Walk, adding to the magical atmosphere as The Yards welcomed its newest resident in spectacular style.
