PRESS RELEASE

For Data Centres Ireland

Dublin, 19-20 November 2025

Coleford, UK, 18 November 2025: SPP Pumps (SPP) and its subsidiary, SyncroFlo, are bringing together existing expertise in fire protection and cooling to serve the specific needs of the exponentially expanding data centre sector.

The integrated offering combines SPP's nearly 150 years of critical infrastructure engineering with SyncroFlo's 50-plus years of pre-packaged pump system manufacturing to deliver complete solutions for data centres – from fire suppression through to liquid cooling, heat recovery and wider HVAC systems. With today’s co-location and hyperscale data centres requiring hundreds of pumps in a single facility, this provides contractors, consultants, developers and OEMs in the sector an effective way to meet demand in a rapidly growing market.

Tom Salmon, group business development manager for data centres at SPP and SyncroFlo, commented: “Both organisations have established strong credentials independently, with over 75 data centre projects delivered for the world’s largest operators. We’re now combining our group’s extensive fire suppression, HVAC and cooling capabilities, as proven at countless critical infrastructure reference sites across a wide range of sectors. By bringing together our complementary capabilities from SPP, SyncroFlo, and other companies in our group, we can now offer comprehensive solutions that cover an entire data centre's pumping requirements.”

SPP’s combined offering includes pump equipment for liquid-cooled systems; cooling towers and chillers; Computer Room Air Conditioning and Air Handling (CRAC/CRAH) systems; water supply & treatment; transformer cooling; heat recovery and transfer; and fire suppression. SPP has more highly regulated and approved fire pump equipment in use worldwide than any other manufacturer; SPP and SynchoFlo fire pump packages can be supplied NFPA 20 compliant.

The range also includes pre-packaged pump systems that are modular and tailored, from design to commissioning, for each data centre’s needs. The integrated approach, and use of pre-assembled packaged pump systems, help to address construction timeline challenges and costs by shortening the manufacturing and construction cycle – a critical advantage for data centre build schedules.

John Santi, vice president of commercial sales at SyncroFlo, commented: “Design consultants and contractors tell us lead time is critical. They cannot afford schedule delays. Our pre-packaged systems are factory-tested and ready for immediate commissioning. With our project delivery experience and expertise across fire suppression, cooling and heat transfer combined under one roof, we eliminate the coordination headaches of managing multiple suppliers across different disciplines.”

“In many growth markets, data centres are now classified as critical national infrastructure (CNI), and rightly so. These facilities cannot afford downtime, and our experience with critical infrastructure positions us to best serve this market”, said Tom Salmon. Adding: “Today's data centre operators also need to demonstrate strong sustainability credentials. Our high-efficiency designs optimise Power Usage Effectiveness, our heat recovery systems enable carbon reduction targets, and our water treatment solutions can support improvements in Water Usage Effectiveness for regulatory compliance. Whether it's liquid cooling for AI workloads or transformer cooling for power infrastructure, we have the products, track record, and expertise to deliver.”
