Independent Hotel Show, in partnership with James Hallam, returns to Olympia London on 4-5 October with new features and a seminar programme created with independent and boutique hoteliers in mind.

The event will showcase over 200 curated suppliers catering to hotels and hospitality businesses, from design & décor studios such as Timothy Oulton, to in-room food and beverage solutions like adaptogenic coffee producer London Nootropics, to high-end fitness equipment brands including Technogym.

One new addition to the event for 2021 is The Concept Lab, an area of the show which will showcase innovative new suppliers and products, aimed at hoteliers seeking to provide a truly unique customer experience for their guests.

Another new feature for this year’s show is the Tech Solutions Bar, in partnership with HOSPA, which will be offering hoteliers a chance to take advantage of bespoke, one-on-one and unbiased consultations with hospitality technology experts to discover which products and services are best suited to their business.

Jane Pendlebury, CEO of HOSPA, commented: “The Tech Solutions Bar provides a great opportunity for hoteliers to ask quick questions, get some great advice and network with other hoteliers who are facing similar tech issues. Access to this sort of expertise usually comes with a price tag, so to be able to tap into it for free at the show is a wonderful opportunity.

“Attendees will be set to benefit from the far-reaching knowledge of HOSPA’s consultant network, with a whole host of experts in the same place at the same time. Please do pay the bar a visit if you want to learn how technology can help you overcome all sorts of hospitality challenges.”

The Innovation Stage in partnership with eviivo, dressed by sofa.com and with art by Aster Muro, will host a comprehensive seminar programme across the two days of the event, covering topical industry challenges such as staffing, sustainability and kickstarting urban hotels post-pandemic as well as deep dives into trends such as sensory design and creating a gastronomic destination.

Returning for 2021 is the Social Business Space, designed by Aorta, where hoteliers are invited to join campfire-style discussions on key topics facing the sector. These sessions are a chance for visitors to the event to make industry connections, network with their peers and share knowledge and insights into common challenges.

Day one of the event will conclude with the Independent Hotel Show Awards, recognising outstanding hospitality professionals across the ‘Independent Hotelier’ and ‘GM of the Future’ categories. The show will also be celebrating the ten winners of Good Hotel Guide’s César Award.

Event Director Elena Attanasio commented: “We’re so excited to be reuniting the independent hotelier community after what has undeniably been a challenging and tumultuous 18 months. Now more than ever it’s fantastic to be providing our industry with the opportunity to meet and network in person, share personal experiences, insights and expertise and showcase some of the most innovative and exciting industry suppliers operating in the world of hospitality.”
