London’s Saatchi Gallery has appointed SecuTix, the cloud-based ticketing solution, as its new ticketing technology partner.

The long-term partnership will see SecuTix support the Chelsea-based gallery in modernising the visitor experience. The agreement will harness digital and mobile technologies to help the gallery build visitor loyalty and establish one-to-one communications with segmented audience groups.

SecuTix 360° platform is an open-cloud platform with a track record of working with some of Europe’s best-known galleries, including the Centre Pompidou and Picasso Museum in Paris. As a recognised global authority in contemporary art, the Gallery welcomes over 1 million visitors a year.

Benan Tumkaya, Head of IT at Saatchi Gallery, said: “It is our ambition to build closer relationships with our audiences. In order to achieve this and deliver an accessible digital platform for our visitors and members, we knew that we would need to implement new ways of digitalising the visitor experience. SecuTix has a proven track record of helping major cultural institutions overhaul their customer journey, and we look forward to seeing the impact of our partnership.”
David Hornby, MD of SecuTix UK, added: “We’re excited to be working with the Saatchi Gallery and helping to realise their digital ambitions. Our vision is to support their digital transformation with a seamless ticketing experience to thrill all their audiences.”

Tickets for the Gallery’s upcoming headline show JR: Chronicles are now on sale through the SecuTix platform. The exhibition (organised by the Brooklyn Museum, with major support by Art Explora) opens 4 June 2021 and will be the largest solo museum exhibition to date in London of the internationally recognised artist JR, featuring some of his most iconic projects from the past fifteen years.

Exhibitions have presented works by largely unseen young artists, or by international artists whose work has been rarely or never exhibited in the UK. This approach has made the Gallery one of the most recognised names in contemporary art. Since moving to its current 70,000 square feet space in the Duke of York’s Headquarters in Chelsea, London, the Gallery has welcomed over 10 million visitors. The Gallery hosts over 5,000 schools visits annually and has over 6 million followers on social media. In 2019 Saatchi Gallery became a charity, beginning a new chapter in its history. www.saatchigallery.com
