PTSD Resolution Selected For AFC Fund Trust Programme For Veterans' Mental Health

Veterans' mental health charity PTSD Resolution has been awarded £30,000 through the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust's RISE programme, a pilot initiative supporting Armed Forces charities to build stronger and more sustainable organisations.

PTSD Resolution provides free, prompt and confidential mental health treatment for Armed Forces veterans, reservists and their families. Therapy is delivered one-to-one through a UK network of 200 Human Givens therapists, in person and online. The charity was founded in 2009 and is accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists to the Quality Network for Veterans Mental Health Services (QNVMHS).

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust RISE programme is investing over £348,000 in total to help small and medium-sized Armed Forces charities strengthen their leadership, improve their systems and plan for the future.

PTSD Resolution will use the funding to invest in the organisational foundations that support its frontline therapy work. The grant will strengthen the charity's data systems, governance, income strategy and use of technology as it prepares to support over 700 veterans, reservists and family members each year.

The project, titled the "Four Pillars Framework Sustainability Programme," reflects the charity's commitment to monitoring and improving every aspect of its service: how accessible treatment is, whether clients stay engaged, how effective the therapy proves, and whether the charity delivers value for every pound spent.

The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust's RISE programme was designed to give charities the space to step back from day-to-day delivery and focus on what needs to strengthen inside the organisation. For PTSD Resolution, that means ensuring the infrastructure behind its clinical work is as strong as the therapy itself.

PTSD Resolution, Charity No. 1202649, provides therapy for the mental welfare of Forces’ Veterans, Reservists and their families. Treatment is free, effective and delivered promptly and locally through a network of 200 therapists nationwide, and also by phone and internet. PTSD Resolution has a uniquely ‘lean’ operation, with no salaried staff or assets - funds are used to deliver therapy and for essential research and public information.
