Ahead of Christmas 2023, Cocorose London has launched the ideal luxury trainer for ‘Queen Bee’ fashionistas wishing to both look great and get a buzz out of helping others.
The family-run, independent footwear brand is again making waves, this time with a statement trainer – the Hoxton Queen Bee low-top trainer - that features a specially commissioned illustration by artist, Victoria Fitton.
The original hand-drawn and loosely painted watercolour illustration of a charming little, crown-wearing Queen Bee hovering over flowers, first featured on Cocorose London’s tote bags. It has proved so popular that it has become the ideal side-panel feature on pristine, white-leather trainers that raise money for the Honeypot Children’s Charity.
This is the second trainer in the Cocorose London range that generates a £20 donation to Honeypot, from every purchase of it made. The first, the lockdown Hoxton Rainbow trainer, is still available too.
So far, from sales of these and lockdown face masks, over £30,000 has been raised for Honeypot, an organisation offering respite breaks to young carers, aged between 5 and 12 years old.
The gorgeous Victoria Fitton illustration has been digitally printed on to the Cocorose London trainers that, as with all in the Cocorose London footwear range, are handmade, from first to last.
The trainers are also charitable to the feet, offering the extreme comfort factors that take normal trainer comfort to another level. Double-cushioned footbeds, padded uppers, soft pillowed tongue and cushioning around the ankle opening, combine with the breathability that comes from leather insoles and outers. A strong white rubber sole adds style and support.
With no breaking in required, purchasers can show the world what they have done to support a worthy cause, the minute the trainers arrive in their recyclable black and gold gift box.
Chief Executive of Honeypot Children’s Charity Simmi Woodwal said, "We are immensely proud and excited to be partnering with Cocorose, who have launched a beautiful line of products to help raise crucial funds for our young carers. The money raised will support our basket of services, which are designed to support young carers, from the age of 5, so they can make happy childhood memories and build brighter futures. This is achieved with our stress-busting respite breaks, educational breaks, Outreach programme, Wellbeing Fund and Pastoral Service – all of which help tailor a unique journey for each individual child. Thank you Cocorose for your continued support in the most creative and meaningful ways."
In addition to generating a donation to Honeypot, as with all Cocorose purchases, a tree will be planted every time a pair is bought. These trainers will be made in small batches, as with all other styles in the range, to avoid waste. If an owner wants to send back an older pair of trainers for recycling, the Cocorose London shoe recycling scheme, run in conjunction with First Mile Recycling, will take over and the considerate owner will receive Rosebud points, to use against a future purchase.
The Cocorose London Queen Bee trainer comes in sizes 2-9.5, and is priced at £125 (£20 of which is donated to the Honeypot Children’s Charity. Head to www.cocoroselondon.com and help a great cause today and take up the Cocorose London message of #BeeKind.
