Charities and community groups have benefited from more than £37,000 of funding thanks to the latest grants from Newhaven Enterprise Zone's Community Support Fund.
A total of seven groups received a cash boost including Newhaven and Seaford Sea Cadets which received £10,000 for its Our Port, Our Youth, Our Future project.
The grant will go towards the cost of hiring training venues in Newhaven, as well as the annual cost of their boat, securing the Sea Cadets' operational and educational future.
Other groups to benefit included Sailhaven CIC (£9,000), Newhaven Gig Rowing Club (£6,000), Newhaven and District Model Railway Club (£5,000), Just Friends (£3,000), Newhaven Bowling Club (£2,860) and Family Support Work (£1,500).
Michelle Connors, programme manager at Newhaven Enterprise Zone, said: "We're so pleased to be able to support so many groups, which make a real difference to our community in this latest round of funding.
"We've had a fantastic mix of organisations apply and we urge other groups to get in touch to secure funding.
"Newhaven is lucky to have a strong sense of community spirit where people work hard to deliver activities which enhance the town for the residents and with a Town of Culture bid being prepared, our local charities and organisations have a huge role to play."
Heather Wells, commanding officer at the Newhaven and Seaford Sea Cadets, said: "It is fantastic to receive the grant from Newhaven Enterprise Zone. We try to work really hard for the young people in the town and the surrounding area and this funding shows that our work is valued."
"The funding will help us in many ways, including by giving us a place to call home again at the Seahaven Maritime Academy."
Sailhaven CIC, based in Lochin Boatyard, will use the funding to support an ongoing restoration project of a 1961 mahogany-built yacht.
The group plans to run sailing trips in Seaford Bay for local groups including the Scouts and school children once the restoration is complete.
Fred Laloux, director at Sailhaven CIC, said: "We're so grateful to Newhaven Enterprise Zone, which believes in our project.
"The money will allow us to finalise and deliver what we have promised to our community."
Newhaven and District Model Railway Club plans to build an extension on its existing cabin in Norton Road to create a calmer environment for members of the club.
Mark Hollis, secretary of the Newhaven and District Model Railway Club, said: "We were delighted to receive the grant. The additional space will help accommodate more suitable working areas for our neurodiverse and autistic members, who need quieter areas."
Newhaven Gig Rowing Club will spend the money on installing a floating dock at Newhaven Marina to launch its Cornish Pilot Gig boat onto the water once again.
Just Friends organises accessible events for elderly people and now has more cash to fund activities to reduce social isolation amongst the older generation.
Newhaven Bowling Club will use the funding for its Bowls for All project, which includes installing ramps, adapted seating and a disabled toilet at the club, as well as beginner and junior bowls sets, enabling young people, families and anyone with a disability to take part.
Family Support Work will put the money towards its Flourishing Families project, which offers personalised and practical support to families and young people facing hardship.
The Community Support Fund invites applications from charities and not-for-profit groups based in Newhaven that support projects, services and activities that encourage participation by children and empower young people, offering inter-generational experiences and promoting volunteering opportunities.
Applications are also welcome from groups which operate in community venues, develop community spirit and encourage creativity.
