Zero Scope 1 Emissions and 100% Renewable Electricity already achieved

Bicester, UK, Monday 11 May 2026 Dalcour Maclaren has published its 2025-26 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Impact Report, establishing a clear baseline for performance across the business and setting out measurable progress already delivered. This includes 100% renewable electricity across its offices under DM control, zero Scope 1 emissions, an 18% reduction in energy use intensity, a 50% female workforce and a 3.74% median gender pay gap.

Francesca Herratt, Chief Financial Officer at Dalcour Maclaren, said: “ESG is embedded in how we operate and how we make decisions. This report sets out where we are today - not just where we aspire to be - and establishes a clear baseline against which we will track progress year-on-year.”

The report confirms Dalcour Maclaren’s commitment to achieve Net Zero across all scopes by 2030, positioning ESG as a core operating framework across the business and in how it works with clients and suppliers, rather than a standalone initiative.

Progress to date includes full transition to renewable electricity across all controlled offices, removal of Scope 1 emissions through decarbonised heating systems, and improved energy efficiency across all its offices. The business has also strengthened its approach to carbon measurement, establishing a baseline for business travel emissions to support further reductions.

On the social agenda, DM reports a workforce split of 50% women and 50% men, with 23% of employees in early careers or ‘Earn and Learn’ roles, and an employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) of +43, which culturally puts Dalcour Maclaren in the upper tier worldwide.

The company has been awarded gold accreditation from The 5% Club for the second year running, reflecting sustained investment in apprenticeships, graduate pathways and structured development.

Governance has been strengthened through the introduction of a formal ESG framework aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, alongside five ISO certifications covering quality, environment, health and safety, information security and energy management. Leadership diversity has also improved, with women now representing 55% of the Senior Leadership Team. The business reported zero instances of bribery or corruption in 2025 and is progressing towards B Corp certification.

DM has also established the DM Foundation to support social mobility initiatives for young people entering the infrastructure sector, alongside education partnerships including the Bloxham Sustainability Challenge, now active in more than 30 UK schools.

Dalcour Maclaren’s goals for 2026 will expand supplier ESG assessment, deepen carbon data capability, and further integrate sustainability metrics into operational and client delivery frameworks.

CEO James Neil said: “Our ESG focus is more important than ever at DM and our aim is to be leading this in our industry, working closely with our clients so that we achieve our shared goals.”

Dalcour Maclaren is inviting clients and partners to use the report as a basis for discussion on shared ESG priorities and opportunities for collaboration. The full ESG report can be found here: https://esg.dalcourmaclaren.com/esg-2026-26
