Demonstrating its commitment to supporting sustainable suppliers, Fuller, Smith & Turner PLC, has signed a new deal with Dorset-based Clipper Teas to supply their organic and Fairtrade teas across the group.

The three-year deal – which represents Clipper Teas’ first ever pub contract – will see the brand’s natural, fair and delicious teas served across Fuller’s premium pubs and hotels and will see an estimated 3.5 million Clipper tea bags served to guests.

Clipper’s long-standing commitment to Fairtrade and organic sourcing, combined with its recyclable packaging and unbleached, fully biodegradable tea bags, aligns well with Fuller’s ambition to offer its customers premium, ethical choices.

Ollie Rosevear, Fuller’s Sustainability Director, said:

“I’m delighted to see Clipper Teas being served in our pubs and hotels – offering our guests a delicious cup of tea that has less impact on the planet. There are a number of benefits to working with Clipper – including reducing our general waste, through recyclable packaging and biodegradable tea bags, plus its commitment to supporting worker welfare across its farms. Partnering with brands who prioritise sustainability not only aligns with our value of doing things the right way – but it helps us on our journey to achieve our Scope 3 target of being Net Zero by 2040.”

Adam Perry, Head of Foodservice at Clipper Teas, comments:

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Fuller’s to bring our natural, fair and delicious teas to their customers. This deal means that even more people will have the opportunity to enjoy a tea that not only tastes delicious but is better for people and the planet too. With a growing number of people seeking out sustainable and ethical teas, I’m confident they will be pleased to be served a cup of Clipper when visiting one of Fullers’ beautiful pubs or hotels.”

Clipper is committed to making the finest quality teas sourced from Fairtrade and organic tea estates around the world and blended and packed at its factory in Dorset.

Clipper Teas is the UK’s first and longest-standing Fairtrade tea brand supporting fair wages and improved living standards for tea workers for over 30 years. In 2025 alone, Clipper also contributed £510k to the Fairtrade premium – an additional sum that farmers can spend directly supporting their communities.

Cementing its sustainability credentials even further, Clipper’s tea bags are also always unbleached and fully biodegradable.

Clipper Teas

B Corp certified, Clipper is a different kind of tea company and a pioneer in ethical, sustainable tea production since 1984.

Clipper is Fairtrade’s first and longest-standing tea partner and a founding member of the Fairtrade Foundation – even helping to write the original tea standards 30 years ago. In that time, Clipper and it’s shoppers have generated over £6.8m in Fairtrade Premium to support housing, education and healthcare projects in tea-growing communities.

Part of the Ecotone UK family, Clipper’s tea factory in Beaminster produces over 1 billion tea bags a year, which are sold in over 50 countries worldwide. Committed to organic and ethical sourcing, Clipper only ever uses natural ingredients and processes to make the finest quality hot beverages.

In 2018, Clipper became the first tea company to make all its heat-sealed tea bags unbleached, non-GM and fully-biodegradable. Clipper’s factory uses renewable energy sources and 98% of factory waste is recycled.

Everything Clipper does is guided by its principles; natural, fair and delicious. That’s the Clipper difference.
