Tower Expands Portfolio with Barbary & Oak Tableware Collection for Spring 2021

Following a successful year in 2020, Tower continues to expand its ever-growing portfolio throughout 2021 with a new category, an exciting and innovative range of stylish tableware known as Barbary & Oak.

What is the inspiration for Barbary & Oak?

The name ‘Barbary & Oak’ relates to two national emblems of England. The Barbary lion is a symbolic animal of England, where in the Middle Ages, the lions kept at the Tower of London were Barbary lions and their image was adorned on flags as a symbol of strength, courage, dignity and pride. And then the mighty oak is the national tree of England, representing strength, beauty and endurance. Oaks are truly central to British life and feature strongly in art, architecture and heraldry.

On-Trend Design  

Inspired by fashion, entertaining and design trends from around the world, Barbary & Oak uses bespoke colour palettes and hand-crafted finishes to create an artisan feel. This premium range celebrates the handmade touch, using soft layered colours to give everyday kitchen items a homely feel. 

Kitchen Essentials

New for spring 2021, the range comprises 16 piece stoneware dinner sets, including the requisite items for home dining - dinner plates, side plates, bowls and mugs.

The Avena set comes in both a soft white or fossil grey, with an artisan hand painted finish and natural speckle glaze. Its neutral colours are a perfect fit in any home décor.

Cascade features an embossed ripple design, with a matte black exterior and speckled cream gloss interior to create a stylish addition to the dining experience.

Luna has an exclusive shape, featuring a matte black coating with uniquely hand painted gloss speckle glaze to give it a more homely feel. 

The Oslo set is inspired by candy pastel colours, including mint green, pink lemonade and cloud grey, complete with a matte white exterior.
