TVC Rolls Out High-Brightness Window Screens for Craft Union

TVC Technology Solutions has successfully completed a high brightness double-sided window screen rollout across a selected group of Craft Union pubs, part of the Stonegate Group estate. The project demonstrates how ultra-high brightness digital displays can transform pub frontages into powerful communication platforms even in bright sunshine, while the rear of these double-sided displays can deliver enhanced up-sell messaging to customers inside.

Chris Whitlock, Technical Director at TVC, “Our extensive experience in delivering cutting-edge AV solutions across the leisure, retail and hospitality sectors gives us access to an unrivalled selection of suppliers and products designed to maximise impact in these consumer-facing environments. The Craft Union pubs project demonstrated once again how TVC can curate, install and commission the most effective display and AV solutions for this industry.”

Craft Union, a subsidiary of Stonegate Group, operates a large portfolio of community-focused pubs located on busy high streets and within local hubs across the UK. With value-led promotions changing frequently and increasing competition for customer attention, they wanted to invest in digital solutions that enhanced kerb appeal and strengthen customer engagement both outside and inside the venue.

Continuing the great relationship TVC already has with Craft Union, they were tasked with delivering a flexible yet consistent high brightness display solution that could be tailored to the varying layouts and requirements of each pub. Every site presented its own challenges, including differences in window dimensions, ceiling heights and sightlines. Some locations required screens optimised purely for street-facing visibility, while others needed dual-purpose displays capable of engaging passers-by and customers already inside the venue.

Following detailed site surveys across all locations, TVC specified a mix of ultra-high brightness window displays, including both single-sided and double-sided screens, alongside floor-to-ceiling mounting solutions where required. The selected displays were engineered to deliver exceptional brightness, ensuring promotional content remains vivid and legible even in direct sunlight or high-ambient-light environments.

All installations were completed using bespoke B-Tech System 2 pole-mounted solutions, designed specifically for each site using precise measurements gathered during the survey phase. This approach ensured every screen was optimised within the available window space, maintained clear visibility from key viewing angles and integrated cleanly into the existing pub environment without obstructing customer flow or internal sightlines.

In high-traffic areas, TVC also supplied and professionally installed bespoke Perspex safety screens, providing durable, long-lasting protection while maintaining a clean and professional finish. Each element of the installation was carefully measured and aligned to combine practicality, safety and strong visual impact.

To streamline operations across the estate, every display was supplied with digital signage software pre-installed and fully configured prior to installation. This allowed Craft Union operators to update promotional content quickly and easily without additional technical setup, providing a flexible platform for daytime messaging, reactive offers and campaign-led activity.

The entire rollout was delivered within a five-week timeframe, with installations scheduled carefully to avoid disruption during peak trading hours. Despite the variation between sites, the finished result provides a consistent, professional presentation across the selected pubs, transforming traditional window space into high-impact digital communication points that remain visible in daylight and continue to engage customers once inside the venue.

Chris added, “This rollout highlights how the right high-brightness technology, combined with detailed planning and tailored installation, can significantly enhance a venue’s street presence while giving operators full control over their messaging.”
