LONDON, UK – On Thursday 4 December, 5pm–8pm, The Yards Covent Garden invited Londoners to experience the enchantment of Christmas ballet and classical music – live and outdoors – with Strings of the Season, a free immersive performance evening.
World-renowned harpist Valeria Kurbatova created a spellbinding soundtrack beneath The Yards’ glowing lantern canopy, accompanied by exquisite ballet performances from Pineapple Dance Studios dancers in Nutcracker-inspired costumes.
Families and festive day-trippers alike enjoyed a magical taste of the Christmas ballet experience in a unique open-air setting – no theatre ticket required. Audiences were treated to enchanting festive classics, elegant choreography and atmospheric lighting throughout the neighbourhood, including Slingsby Place and Mercer Walk.
This marked the second event in The Yards’ Lantern Light Nights series, celebrating Christmas with world-class performances in the heart of Covent Garden.
