Contour Underwriting has selected cyber risk analytics provider KYND following a competitive process, as it launches its cyber insurance proposition globally.

The partnership brings cyber risk intelligence into Contour’s underwriting process from the outset, giving its new cyber team a live view of each organisation’s exposure when assessing a submission and continuing to track changes in risk once cover is in place.

The insight will also support Contour’s relationships with brokers and their clients, enabling the assessment of individual businesses using KYND’s proprietary live risk intelligence and taking advantage of the platform’s data accuracy and speed to help provide meaningful insight into emerging and complex risks beyond the point of underwriting.

Matt Waller, underwriting director for cyber at Contour, said: “We have ambitious plans for our global cyber proposition and technology is a key component of our strategy. We are pleased to partner with KYND as our cyber risk analytics provider.”

Melanie Hayes, co-founder at KYND, said: “SMEs present a significant opportunity for the cyber insurance market, but have traditionally been difficult to assess. To serve this market effectively, the industry must make cyber risk clearer and easier to address.

“What makes this partnership particularly exciting is the opportunity to work with Contour’s team from day one. We’re delighted they have chosen KYND and look forward to supporting the team as they build their cyber business in the UK and internationally.”

KYND is redefining how the insurance industry understands cyber risk in the age of AI.

Built specifically for insurance, KYND transforms internet-scale cyber risk data into clear, actionable intelligence that supports smarter underwriting, portfolio management and exposure oversight. By combining internet-scale asset discovery, cyber risk assessment and continuous monitoring, KYND helps insurers understand not just where cyber risk exists, but how it is evolving over time.

With visibility into any organisation with an online presence, including coverage of the SMB sector, KYND enables insurers to assess cyber risk at a scale and depth that traditional approaches often cannot achieve.

As AI reshapes both cyber threats and insurance workflows, KYND provides the trusted intelligence layer insurers need to understand, quantify and manage cyber risk with confidence, while helping the market prepare for emerging AI-related exposures.

Headquartered in London, KYND partners with leading insurers, brokers and reinsurers worldwide to make cyber risk understandable, actionable and insurable.

KYND has been on the FinTech Global InsurTech 100 list for six years.
