Hillier Garden Centres is thrilled to announce its return to BBC Gardeners’ World Live for the fourth consecutive year. Following its role as headline sponsor at this year’s BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, Hillier continues its strong support of the event by sponsoring the Let’s Talk Plants stage in the Floral Marquee and providing plants for the headline show garden designed by Nick Bailey.
Taking place at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, from 12th–15th June 2025, the show promises four days of expert horticultural advice, inspiration, and creativity. The Hillier team of plant specialists will be on hand throughout the event to offer one-to-one guidance and gardening insights.
This year, Hillier is proud to supply plants for Nick Bailey’s ‘Plant Based Garden,’ a stunning and sustainable show garden built around the ‘Make a Metre Matter’ campaign. The garden encourages individuals to transform just one metre of outdoor space to benefit biodiversity, water conservation, and soil health. Visitors can immerse themselves in the garden’s vibrant design, displaying a colourful selection of Hillier-grown peat free plants and trees, and leave inspired to make a difference in their own gardens. As a company Hillier has been committed to transitioning to peat free for many years and was amongst the first nurseries to become completely peat free. For this reason Nick's garden resonates so well with the Hillier ethos.
Over at the Let’s Talk Plants stage, visitors can enjoy daily talks from Hillier experts and familiar faces from the world of gardening, sharing practical tips and expert knowledge. Twice daily, the Hillier team will also be available at the Plant Experts desk to help visitors with their plant enquiries. The Hillier stand will also present a colourful display of garden-ready plants.
In addition, visitors will have the chance to purchase from a wide range of peat-free plants, all grown at the Hillier nurseries in Hampshire. With an extensive variety of high-quality plants available, there’s something for every style and garden space.
BBC Gardeners’ World Live is a standout event in the gardening calendar, bringing together design inspiration, expert advice, and lively entertainment in a single, memorable day out.
Hillier Garden Centres invites gardeners of all experience levels to join them at the show to explore, learn, and be inspired. For those unable to attend, you can purchase your Hillier plants, and a wide selection of gardening related items including garden furniture online at Hillier.co.uk. In addition, the Hillier Gardening Club offers a great way to stay connected. Members receive a regular newsletter packed with gardening expertise, seasonal tips, exclusive offers, and expert advice.

“To inspire the creation of green living spaces for now and the future” Hillier is one of the leading names in the horticultural industry, with 160 years of growing and retail experience.
Founded in 1864 by Edwin Hillier, the company remains a family-run nursery with the fifth generation now actively involved in the family business as it continues to grow.
Not only is Hillier the largest producer of semi-mature trees in Europe and grower of over one million plants at its Hampshire nursery, but it also employs over 750 staff across its nursery, amenity trees and 22 garden centre divisions and is a flourishing multi-million pound company. It proudly holds the world record for the most consecutive gold medals awards at the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, with 74 wins.
As one of the leading growers in the UK, Hillier is involved in many peat-free initiatives, including the RHS Peat-Free Fellowship, the largest peat-free collaborative research project globally. The company was amongst the first nurseries to become 100% peat-free across both its production nursery and retail garden centres, and all Hillier plants are grown in peat-free compost.
Recent successes for the company include the launch of its online shop, the substantial redevelopment of Hillier Garden Centre Newbury and the acquisition of the Rosebourne Garden Centre Group in November 2022, as well as sponsorship of BBC Gardeners’ World Live and BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair, and the incredibly popular free ‘Hillier Gardening Club’ loyalty program which now has over half a million members.
Renowned for being a leading breeder of plants in the UK at its 100% peat-free nursery in Hampshire, each year Hillier introduces amazing new varieties. Many of these have become essentials in British gardens and the company continues with the tradition of innovation and the introduction of new garden plants in the present day.
