Warmth, texture and tactility are driving decisions, partly linked to a desire for comfort and cosiness at home, and partly a broader cultural shift toward natural, grounded aesthetics.

“Deep clay, baked ochre, warm chocolate browns and moody slate are the strongest performers in our range right now. Soft warm greige is holding strong as a base, particularly in open-plan spaces where continuity matters. We're also seeing interest in darker smoked tones, almost charcoal-oak, which works beautifully against the warm wall colours people are choosing.

“Durability is also front of mind as cost-of-living pressures make people think about longer-term investments rather than quick fixes.”

The move towards warmer shades and characterful textured finishes comes as homeowners embrace a wider trend that combines modern rustic interiors with made-to-measure detailing.

Yarl added: “Rustic interiors are moving away from anything too rough or overly traditional, and instead embracing a more refined, considered approach. The appeal lies in combining warmth and texture with clean lines and precise finishes that feel tailored to the home.”
