Strawberries are one of the nation’s favourite fruits, with their sweet smell and taste symbolising the warm days of summer. They are also one of the most popular to grow, but what many don’t realise is that these beautiful, bright berries are extremely fragile.

Too little water, and no fruits will grow. Too small a pot, and the offshoots will break off. Too long on the ground, and the strawberries will rot, or worse – the slugs will feast on them first!
