Preston-based Valoriani UK, suppliers of Italy’s finest wood-fired and gas-fired pizza ovens, is enjoying the benefits of mass media TV exposure, with orders having spiked in the last six weeks due to various pieces of TV footage.

A Valoriani Igloo 140 wood oven is currently featuring in a TV advert for Boundary Mill, the long-established shopping haven in Colne, which can boast being the UK’s number one mill store.

The oven is at the heart of the operation in Bumbellinis – the new pizzeria at Boundary Mill that is now making the outlet as much a destination for pizza as it is for shopping. Since being fitted around three months ago, the striking yellow oven is now not just catching the eye but also generating interaction, with children able to make their own pizza and watch as it is cooked.

New CEO of Boundary Mill, Ben Bannister, says the oven has “transformed Boundary Mill and Bumbellinis is constantly packed with people specifically visiting us for the pizza.”   Now more potential customers have seen the TV advert, this is likely to increase further.

But this is not the only TV advert boosting demand for Valoriani UK’s wood fired ovens.  Payment terminal supplier, Square, has included footage of the Valoriani IGLOO180 oven at London-based restaurant Yamabahce in action.  This oven was fitted in 2016, by the Valoriani UK team.

And then the fire has been further fuelled by the John Lewis TV advert for Christmas 2019, which not features Excitable Edgar, but also a chef baking bread with a real flame, in a wood oven.

Valoriani UK’s Andrew Manciocchi says: “Our prestigious ovens always catch the eye and create food theatre, so it comes as no surprise to find video and film directors including them in their story boards.  This carries a strong message for restaurant owners who are looking for new ways of attracting custom, because if TV adverts are finding our ovens such a must-have within their footage, that visual impact will not be lost on potential customers either.

“Boundary Mill is a classic example of a venue that has seen a massive uplift in custom from foodies and pizza lovers, since it fitted our oven.  Those same benefits are experienced by every eatery we supply.  Given the amazing longevity of our superbly crafted Tuscan ovens and the quality materials used in their build, eateries can be enjoying the benefits of great food sales for at least ten years or more.”

Those wishing to see the visual appeal of the ovens for themselves, can visit the Valoriani UK showroom in Preston by appointment.  Call 01772 250000 or visit www.valorianiuk.com for more details.
