Best slow juicer for ease of use: KUVINGS AUTO6 Star rating: 4.5/5
The predecessor of the Kuvings Auto 8, this masticating juicer is around £100 cheaper, and is arguably a much better choice for smaller families and smaller kitchens. It’s highly intuitive, with just one button – press it upwards for juicing and downwards for reverse mode. It managed to juice leafy kale and tackle some chunky pieces of ginger, as well as apple chunks and cucumber sticks, both with their skins on. Its manual gives clear instructions for how to prepare each ingredient, and information on the ingredients to avoid altogether. It comes with two strainers, one for juicing and one blank, which can be used to make ice cream and sorbet. Its hopper boasts a whopping 1.7L capacity and a 4cm-wide feeding chute to add chopped ingredients as it’s working. We loved how quiet it is in operation, so much so that it didn’t wake a sleeping toddler while using it to make apple juice. The results were undeniably great, with each ingredient leading to a delicious, smooth and lump-free juice. The one thing we’re not keen on? It’s not dishwasher-safe and there are lots of parts. These are easy to clean, however, and it does come with two specially designed brushes to make this job easier. You also get two cups, one 600ml and the other 1 litre, included.
